The ETP3 is a small to medium-sized electric panel van that competes with rivals like the Ford E-Transit Custom and Vauxhall Combo Electric.
It promises a range of up to 144 miles between charges, thanks to a 44.9 kWh battery, as well as fast 50 kW charging that can take the energy from 10-100% in as little as 30 minutes.
The ETP3 gets a 780 kg payload, a 3.5 cubic metre capacity, as well as sliding doors on both sides of the load bay.
Power of 134 hp ensures the BYD ETP3 can make brisk forward progress, even when hauling heavy loads.
BYD has also patented its own ‘Blade’ battery, thanks to a dedicated Truck Research Institute, which isn’t just 50% more compact than other units on the market, but it’s also ‘ultra safe’, thanks to the way it can dissipate heat.
Like you see in electric cars, the BYD ETP3 has a Regenerative Braking System, which converts kinetic energy into electricity to recharge the battery, helping you to make the most out of the van’s range.
Meanwhile other vans in BYD’s European stable include the heavy duty ETM 6 truck and the EYT eBus yard tractor.
